Alpaca Valley
Amongst the countless peculiarities of the region where Villa San Filippo is set, it is worth pointing out the Alpaca Valley: a breeding farm of this versatile and adaptable animal, native of the Andes, valued for its precious wool renown for its lightness, silkiness and warmth. Here Alpaca graze in herds in a Tuscan version of the level heights of Chile and Peru, amidst the Piscina di Lucolena’s woods and prairies underneath San Michele peak summit, which reaches an altitude of almost 900 meters above sea-level.
